Material Required:
- Coconut oil
- Almond oil
- Flavored drink powders (for example pink lemonade, cherry, grape or watermelon)
- Small bowl or container
The drinking powder here is used as a flavor to the lip gloss, and also adds color. Coconut oil helps to keep the lips supple and gives the semi-solid texture to the gloss. Coconut oil also offers the SPF 15 protection along with additive moisture from the almond oil content in the ingredients. Although almond oil could be a bit pricey and you can as well leave it out.
Instructions to Make:
- Mix 3 tablespoon of coconut oil. Add 1 tablespoon almond oil for texture. (You can add beeswax to the mixture if you are looking for a solid texture)
- Add 1 small pack of crystal drinking powder in the container and mix. Mix it well in order to not leave any lumps. (You can experiment by mixing different drinking crystals for the desired color and flavor)
- Pour the liquid into a small container for use.

Material Required:
- Petroleum jelly such as Vaseline
- Food flavorings like vanilla or mint/ chocolate
Instructions to Make:
- Place the petroleum jelly into a microwave- safe container and heat it to melt for about 40 to 60 seconds.
- Add the food color to the bowl and mix the content with a spoon to remove lumps.
- Pour it into the small container and wait for it to set. Once the liquid has stopped running is when the content has solidified.
You must store this in a cool dry place and enjoy the unique homemade lip gloss as needed.
3. Beetroot Coconut Oil Lip Gloss
Material Required:
- Beetroot powder
- Cranberry (dried and frozen powder)
- Shea butter
- Beeswax (optional)
- Coconut oil
Instructions to Make:
- Melt 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds.
- Mix ½ teaspoon beetroot powder in the same container with 1 teaspoon cranberry powder and stir.
- Add 1 teaspoon of shea butter and mix well. If you have beeswax available. Add ½ teaspoon of it to the mixture.
- Allow the mixture to cool while stirring the content continuously to keep the color particles mixed well until it cools and turns a creamy and smooth texture. Transfer into a smaller container for use.

4. Coconut Oil with Vitamin E and Essential Oil Lip Gloss:
Material Required:
- Coconut oil
- Vitamin E oil
- Essential oil
- Beeswax
Essential oil used here could be of your choice of flavor like peppermint or lavender etc.
Instructions to Make:
- Melt 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and add one tablespoon of beeswax
- Add 2 ½ spoon of shea butter and heat.
- Add 5 drops of vitamin E oil add 4 drops of essential oil of your choice.
- Add them to the containers and wait until it solidifies.

5. Lavender Orange Lip Gloss:
Material Required:
- Coconut oil
- Vitamin E capsule
- Orange Essential oil
- Lavender Essential oil
Instructions to Make:
- 1/4th cup of coconut oil add one tablespoon of beeswax pellets together and heal at a low flame.
- Remove from heat and add 10 drops of orange essential oil and 7-8 drops of Lavender.
- Poke a hole into the Vitamin E capsule to add the liquid from inside.
- Add them to the containers and wait until it solidifies.
