Christmas is the perfect time for family reunion and enjoyment. Make it interesting with a lot of game activities to play and delicious food to eat. The best part about Christmas game is that you can include past family traditions and give your kids an insight of the memory lane.

1. Christmas carol Pictionary:

Playing Pictionary is fun but imagine having to draw the first few words of the carol, won’t that be fun? Make some chits ready for the event and place it in a bowl for the players to withdraw. A board with a marker or a paper with a pen will be perfect for the fun Christmas game.

2. Christmas charades:

A great way to break the ice in a Christmas party is to play charades. Make it fun with some Christmas elements as the words to enact or any Christmas related movies will be fun too.

Kids love to play in the snow, let’s make it colorful by spray painting. Use a diluted food dye and have the participants divided into teams. Let them paint their hearts off. The painting will be gone once the snow melts.

Get some extra Santa hats. Place several items into each hat (candy cane, gingerbread, pinecones, marbles etc.) and give each participant a chance to take a look and to feel the outside of the hat. Write down a list of items they can think of which is inside the hat. The person with the correct objects written wins.

Stack some white plastic cups to make a mountain peak. Keep this arrangement at a distance. Make a paper bowl and try to break the stack.

6. Spoon and Ornament:

Instead of egg and spoon, try to balance an ornament and run the race. The first one to finish wins the game.

You can make rings out of the embroidery rings or anything that is the available home of a 5 feet radius or smaller and will not be too heavy for the horn made of sticks to handle.

8. Gift wrapping competition:

You can have few items ready to be wrapped. Give the kids some wrapping papers. Keep a timer ready and on the “GO” they start wrapping it. The first one to finish wins.

9. Santa Limbo:

Have the guests to do the limbo by putting a pillow under their t-shirt and make a Santa belly.

10. Christmas Treasure Hunt:

This is the usual treasure hunt game where the treasure will be the gifts for the kids which they need to hunt based on the clues provided. Make them run around the house looking for the gift, won’t that be cute to see the frantic kids moving around the house with their clues

Hide a known amount of candy canes in the living room and playroom for the kids. You can hide the candy canes in smart places where the kid can probably miss it and have the other ones at simple places. Let the kids search them and count a number of canes hidden and found. Next, ask the kid to hide the candies and the elders can search then.

12. What’s in the bag:

Pick some simple objects like pine, Santa hat, gingerbread, bells, cotton balls, mini Christmas tree etc. Blindfold the kids and ask them to be ready. Put these items into brown paper bags such that you can’t see what’s inside and with their eyes blindfold, ask them to put their one hand inside and pull an object. Let them recognize what it is by feeling the object.

Make a simple antler on a cardboard with eyes, horn, and lips. Make a separate nose with a red paper and have a two-way sticker on it one side. Give one to each participant and have their names written on the red handmade nose to signify their mark. Blindfold the participant and ask them to pin this nose onto the board. The one who pins the nose at the nearest to the actual nose area wins.

14. Feed the snowman:

Using a cardboard box, paint a snowman onto the front. Cut out two circles – one in the belly and another in the mouth. Make some snowballs using the cotton and paper. Throw them on the snowman and let’s see how good you feed him.

15. Christmas memory game:

Like any other memory game, lay down cards on the table and let the participants match up the identical ones in the pile.

Take cylindrical equipment from your household things. Find a rod to put it across on the top as shown. See how many ornaments each player can balance on each side. The one with max ornaments balanced, wins.

Put a pile of gifts and let the first person choose the gift from the pile. Next person gets to either steal the gift from the person who has already picked up a gift or take a new one from the stash. There isn’t a winner but when all the people have picked up the gifts the game ends. They no more can exchange it further.

18. Win it in a minute:

Take out all the stationary and let the creativity take over. Make minute to win it chits with instructions. The participants have to complete the task in 60 seconds or less. The first team to complete it successfully will be the winner.

19. Who Am I?

Write the name of a famous person. It could be real or fiction, a celebrity or a politician etc. on a notepad and keep it aside. The players need to ask 20 questions such that the answer to it could be only a yes or a no. For example – Am I dead? , Am I an actor? , Am I female?
